Earn Your PhD in Nursing

Advancing society’s health with our doctoral degree programs in nursing.

In the face of a national nursing shortage, students are routinely turned away from many nursing schools for lack of qualified faculty. We need nurse-scholars who will contribute to the development of the field and advance healthcare through teaching, research and leadership. To address this need, the PhD in Nursing is centered on research, providing courses in two concentrations: nursing education and healthcare outcomes.

The program will prepare you to advance knowledge of the discipline and contribute to the science of nursing. Through teaching, research and leadership, you will advance health through innovation and information while discussing and debating a broad range of theories.
