After graduating with my BS in Nursing from Adelphi University’s Accelerated Nursing Program, I knew I would return to pursue my graduate education. In Fall 2017, I began Adelphi’s NED program and am excited to graduate with my Nursing Education (NED) degree in Fall 2019. Obtaining my Master’s in Nursing Education has been a significant and worthwhile step in my nursing career. The knowledge I’ve gained through the NED program has brought my nursing practice and critical thinking skills to a higher level. Most importantly, the NED program has given me the tools I need to effectively teach nurses ranging from undergraduate students in clinicals and lecturing new hires and experienced nurses. I am a firm believer that education is a powerful tool capable of enhancing patient care and the work environment. My hope is that by becoming a Nurse Educator, I can act as the bridge between knowledge and clinical practice, helping nurses to perform at their best possible level. – Neeta Jadonath '16, MS '19, RN
