R.N. to B.S. in Nursing Admission Policies
Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of New York or eligibility for licensure endorsement is required for admittance into Adelphi's R.N. to B.S. program.
- Applicants must meet all general University requirements for admission.
- Official transcripts from nursing schools, and all other institutions of higher education must be submitted at the time of application.
- Transfer students are required to have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Applicants not meeting the minimum GPA requirement may be conditionally admitted contingent upon an interview with the Director of the ASCEND Program, and must maintain a GPA of 3.0 for the first 12 units of undergraduate study.

Diploma graduates are required to take and pass 24 credits from Excelsior College. Students are required to take Excelsior Exams in the following areas: Adult Nursing, Maternal and Child Nursing and Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing (at the baccalaureate level).
