The Master of Science in Nursing Administration prepares nurse managers who can function in a variety of healthcare settings. Topics include nursing theories, group dynamics, communication and professional issues and trends. To prepare to serve as leaders in improving healthcare services, students study leadership roles in the healthcare field. Through the program's research component, students gain practice in analyzing and implementing research findings.
This 45-credit program is divided among core, specialty, and functional focus courses as follows:
- 15 credits in core courses
- 21 credits in specialty courses
- 6 credits functional focus course
- 3 credits Capstone Project
This degree may be completed through either full time or part time study.

Full Time Program
This program is completed in two years including one summer (five semesters). Students will be expected to complete 7–12 credits per semester.

Part Time Program
This program is completed in three years including summers (eight semesters). Students will be expected to complete 3–10 credits per semester.
