The Master of Science in Emergency Nursing/Disaster Management is designed to prepare nurses for managerial positions in the emergency department and disaster management settings. After completing the program, the graduate will be able to attain employment and successfully work in the field of disaster nursing and emergency management as a clinician, manager, educator, consultant, or researcher.
This 42-credit program is divided among core, specialty core, and specialty courses as follows:
- 15 credits in core courses
- 12 credits in specialty core courses
- 12 credits in specialty courses
- 3 credits Capstone Project
This degree may be completed through either full time or part time study.

Full Time Program
This program is completed in two years (four semesters). Students will be expected to complete 9–12 credits per semester.

Part Time Program
This program is completed in three years (six semesters). Students will be expected to complete 6–9 credits per semester.
