Adelphi College of Nursing and Public Health is granted accreditation

CCNE-Seal-CMYKAdelphi University’s College of Nursing and Public Health’s Nursing Program has been granted accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education’s (CCNE) Board of Commissioners.

The program which recently celebrated its 70th year educating student nurses is the oldest of its kind on Long Island. This anniversary coincided with the construction of the college’s new building on Adelphi University’s main campus in Garden City, New York. Called the Nexus Building and Welcome Center, Adelphi’s College of Nursing and Public Health’s new home will be a cutting edge facility with various undergraduate, graduate, doctoral and certificate degree programs in nursing, public health, healthcare informatics, nutrition and more.

“Receiving the commission’s approval reiterates Adelphi’s commitment to the quality of our nursing education, keeping programs current yet evolving with changes in the field,” said Dean Patrick Coonan ’78, Ed.D., RN of the College of Nursing and Public Health.

This credential extends through December 31, 2023. The baccalaureate and master’s nursing programs at Adelphi University’s College of Nursing and Public Health, is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, One Dupont Circle, NW, Suite 530, Washington, DC 20036, 202-887-6791.
