Keith Bradley, MD Chief Medical & Founder The National Alliance of Research Associates Programs will describe what will be the largest prospective interventional medical research study ever. He will indicate how Adelphi’s pre-health career students can become research associates to help with this study and also gain invaluable training and experience working with patients, their families and in conducting research studies.
Centered in the emergency departments across the country, the National Alliance of Research Associate Programs is a non-profit clinical research organization facilitating large scale, national, multicenter studies to increase the quality of health care delivery nationally, especially in the areas of screening and prevention. Our work engages vast numbers of pre-health professional (“pre-med”) students as data collectors in the studies, providing enhanced clinical opportunities unique to the research setting while teaching the fundamentals of interacting with patients
NARAP & Affiliates have enrolled more than 140,000 subjects in clinical research. A partial list of studies includes – tobacco cessation, domestic violence, firearms injury, cardiovascular risk assessment, dental check-ups, antibiotics in children, cervical cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, and colon-rectal cancer. A full listing is available on our website.
