Health Requirements
All students are required to meet the following health regulations established by the School of Nursing:
- annual physical
- annual Mantoux (with CXR if positive)
- MMR Titers showing immunity
- Tetanus vaccination within ten years
- Hepatitis B Vaccine Series or Declination Statement
- Varicella Titer.
For graduate students, CPR certification is also required.
The University Health Service provides health forms that must be submitted before each fall semester. Failure to submit a health form will result in suspension from clinical laboratory activities.
The cost of medical and health care is the responsibility of the student.
All students at the School of Nursing are required to carry Adelphi University professional liability insurance. This is provided at a low cost through a group policy.
